Nice flight with AF, too much good food and too many mimosas :)

Once in Paris, I went to meet several friends, David and I met in a nice bakery:

Then it was a perfect time to have a walk around and enjoy the sights and lights:

WtF? Kispy Kreme in Paris? Oh no :(

A later day, another lunch with more school friends:

frog legs, of course :)

And before long, it was already time to head back home:

2023/06/27 A Few Days in Paris

I was able to go to Paris to visit my dad and celebrate his BD late and my BD early. Spent a few days to visit Paris.

Went to check out notre dame basements again, including a VR tour of the cathedral that was very nice:

the VR tour used an entire desktop computer strapped to your back and a pretty good VR tour

Next was Sainte Chapelle, which I hadn't seen in a long time, with advance tickets, the only way to get in:

Next, went back to Musee d'Orsay, a beautiful museum in a former train station:

Oh yeah, and France is more fucked up than ever, immigrants tend to half run the country now. If anything happens they are unhappy about, they burn everything. Lovely...

2023/04/16 A few hours in Solvang

Arrived a bit late on a sunday due to a solid overcast that hung around longer than planned, and eventually arrived in town close to 14:00. I was a bit worried that it wouldn't be enough since many things closed at 17:00, and a few at 18:00, but by being efficient it was just enough.

Started with the old spanish mission just outside of town:
